Half term and school holidays provide loads of opportunity for getting outdoors with the whole family, and with some country clothing, good weather and enthusiasm, you can make every day of the holiday as exciting as the next!
We have put together some of our favourite activities to do during the school holidays throughout the year that will get you outdoors and enjoy nature. There is so much you can do, from a relaxing walk spotting wildlife in your local area, trying a new hobby such as horse riding, canoeing, or clay pigeon shooting and spending time with loved ones on a picnic or hosting a garden party and barbeque.
Hopefully, these activities have given you some ideas for ways to occupy your time with your family – and get your children away from TV and phone screens! If you find there are no good horse riding schools, canoeing locations or clay pigeon shooting grounds near you, try cycling, climbing and hiking or turn a country walk into a treasure hunt with Geocaching!
